The file upload facility has now been enabled. For information on how to upload a file and link it to a page of the library, see the upload documentation. For further assistance, please contact Steve Glover.
- Files can't be bigger than 3MB for the moment. Let me know if that is a problem.
- Avoid file names with WikiCase as that tends to confuse the recognition algorithm.
- Avoid file names with spaces in them.
- The files will all be uploaded into the same location, so if you upload the same file again it will become accessible in place of the previous version.
- As a corollary, if you upload a file with the same file name as someone else, you may overwrite their file. Play nice!
- Uploaded script files won't be executable, but it would be better not to upload them anyway.
When a file, say, foo.txt
, has been uploaded, you will be told that the way to link to it in the wiki.
Happy uploading. Note that there is at present no facility to allow you to delete a previously uploaded file. Alternatives are to upload another file with the same name to overwrite it, or to let Steve Glover know which file you'd like deleted.
